1. Data controller
The data controller is Alex Fable’s Books. You can contact us at info@alexfablesbooks.com or through www.alexfablesbooks.com.
2. Data we collect
Through the English free-resource and launch forms, we collect your email address and, only where the form offers it and you choose to provide it, your first name. We also record limited technical and consent information—IP address, browser user agent, source page, requested resource, language, consent date and an unsubscribe token—to protect the forms from abuse and document your request.
3. Why we use it
We use your details to deliver or unlock the resource you requested—such as the free first-chapter preview or Junior Scientist Worksheet—and to send you the launch notification for the English edition of Ms. Quarketti’s book, including its special introductory price and Amazon.com product link.
We will not use these forms to subscribe you to a recurring newsletter, send third-party offers, profile you or make automated decisions about you.
4. Legal basis
The legal basis is your explicit consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You give consent by actively selecting the checkbox before submitting the form. You may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal.
5. Who may process the data
Access is limited to the controller and technical service providers needed to host the website, database and email service. Those providers process data only to provide those services. We do not sell your details or disclose them to advertisers or third parties for their own marketing.
6. Retention
We keep your details until the requested resource and launch notification have been delivered, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever happens first. Data collected through these forms will be deleted within 30 days after the launch communication unless a legal obligation requires a longer period.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or withdrawal of consent. You may also object where applicable and lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali).
To exercise a right or leave the list, email info@alexfablesbooks.com. The launch message will also include an unsubscribe option. We aim to respond within 30 days.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure. No online system can be guaranteed to be completely risk-free.
9. Changes to this notice
If this notice changes materially, we will update the date shown above and publish the revised text on this page.
